On September 13, Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, said that Sanatana Dharma is the "rashtriya (national) religion" of India. Mr. Adityanath said it was regrettable that some individuals living in India are still criticizing the Sanatana Dharma, which has been assailed from ancient times, in light of controversial remarks made about it by DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin.
